Bharath started his practise in the year 2009 at the law office of Murali & Co., Bengaluru, where he was working with the corporate and litigation teams of the firm. He was engaged in advising client companies in matters concerning multi-national transaction M&A/JVs structuring & due diligence and related regulatory compliance advisory services.
Bharath set up the full-service firm – Imperium Legal at Bengaluru in 2012, which was providing litigation and advisory services to clients on several subject matters. Imperium Legal merged its practise with Agraa Legal in 2022.
Bharath advises clients on a broad range of issues relating to criminal defence, commercial disputes, corporate, regulatory and compliance matters across practise areas. He regularly appears before the civil and criminal courts across India as well as before international and domestic arbitral tribunals. Bharath regularly advices clients and appears in several matters, with special focus on economic offences, white collar crime defence, PC Act, PMLA, FEMA, KPID and commercial matters.
Apart from litigation, his work experience includes commercial and residential real estate project advisory and documentation for entities and individuals. Bharath handles multi-territory transaction structuring, corporate structuring/ advisory services, compliance liaison, in addition to assisting clients in settlement in mediation and conciliation proceedings.
