Abhijit is a fine amalgam of expertise in varied legal practice ranging from transactional work (both real estate and commercial/ corporate transactions) to dispute resolution. Having an experience of nearly 10 years in JSA, Bangalore, Abhijit joined Agraa Legal, as one of its partners. Abhijit has handled several high-value transactions involving amalgamations, de–mergers, restructuring of private and public listed companies etc, including restructuring of real estate companies. He has closely worked with several large corporates in structuring their investments.

He regularly advises financial institutions, developers, landowners, high net worth individuals in carrying out title diligences, issuance of title opinions, acquiring property by way of conveyance, lease or joint development models, mortgages, drafting and negotiating commercial leases. In addition, he actively represents clients in transactions involving financing of real estate sector (both private equity and debt financing).

Abhijit also specialises in advising the clients in acquisition and debt funding of various real estate projects such as residential, / commercial, warehouses, renewable energy projects. He has considerable experience in drafting and negotiating real estate agreements including but not limited to leases, conveyance documents, mortgage deeds etc.

Abhijit regularly advises on matters concerning liquidation of companies, limited liability partnerships as per the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016. He regularly appears before National Company Law Tribunal on matters pertaining to oppression and mismanagement, scheme of amalgamation and arrangements, reduction of capital and other proceedings under the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.

Abhijit also advises clients on equity investments, mergers & acquisitions. He actively represents funds, entrepreneurs and business houses on fund raising, partnerships, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, exits. He advises several start-ups in their day-today legal requirements.
